Art Crawl

Art Crawl is sponsored by Springville Center for the Arts, 716-592-9038. SCA provides the legal umbrella. SCA brings artwork to the Host Businesses and promotes the event. Each business participating is doing so independently and all activity in the business location is the responsibility of that business.

Display: Artwork must be ready to display. Wire is required for frames -  do not use cheap hangers. No un-painted canvas edges. The volunteer hanging committee may reject any piece if it is not professionally presented. We may limit the number of pieces hung depending on wall space availability.

Sales: Sales are subject to a commission where 30% goes to SCA and 70% goes to the artist. SCA is responsible for sales tax. SCA will pay the artist within two weeks following sale. Not all work must be for sale.

Removal + Pickup: Artwork must remain on display until the conclusion of Art Crawl. SCA will remove your work at the end of the evening and it will be brought back to Art Crawl Headquarters. Artists are not permitted to remove artwork from the hanging locations. You must sign out your work and provide proof to SCA that you are the artist. If you are unable to pick up your work at the conclusion of Art Crawl, you MUST arrange an alternate pickup time IN ADVANCE with SCA. Work left for more than two weeks without any special arrangements will be considered abandoned.

Insurance: Artwork sold on commission is subject to the individual artist’s homeowner’s policy and insurance cannot be provided by SCA. The Host Businesses and SCA will provide all reasonable efforts to ensure security and safety of work, but SCA is unable legally to provide coverage to these spaces.
